Tappaboo Privacy Policy

Tappaboo is a sensory toy for babies and toddlers. It is built so that there is nothing to collect in the first place.

Last updated 3 September 2026

Tappaboo collects no personal data, sends nothing off your watch, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

What the app stores

Tappaboo saves four settings on the watch itself, all of them chosen by a parent on the settings screen:

These are stored in the app's own storage on the device. They never leave the watch, are not readable by us or by anyone else, and are deleted when the app is deleted. Nothing in them identifies a person.

What the app does not do

Children

Tappaboo is designed for children aged roughly 0–2, and is meant to be handed to a child by a parent. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either. It is not directed at gathering any information about a child, a parent, or a device, and it presents nothing a child could use to send information anywhere.

This is intended to meet the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the GDPR in the EU and UK by not collecting anything, rather than by asking for consent to collect it.

Purchases

Tappaboo is sold through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details, your name, or your Apple Account.

Your data rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to give you a copy of, correct, or erase. The settings stored on your watch are removed when you delete the app.

Changes to this policy

If Tappaboo ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. As long as the app has no network connection, that will not happen.
